  • Anke Menkhorst

    Chief Executive Officer & ad interim Head of Marketing

    Anke Menkhorst Anke is responsible for general management at ESL. She is the head of the leadership team. She joined ESL in October 2015 and works from the HQ in Barcelona.
     
    Anke’s background is in international business and marketing. Prior to ESL she worked for a Japanese multinational in the cosmetics industry for 15 years across different countries and across both consumer and professional/prestige businesses.


  • Krister A. Weidenhielm

    Head of Products Development & Purchase

    Krister A. Weidenhielm Krister is responsible for product development and purchase, seeking any opportunity to strengthen ESL's partner network. He is responsible for both partnership development and the quality of our product portfolio. Valuing each partner’s contribution and ensuring that our students have access to the right information at any time, about any school, is part of his daily work. 



    Since joining ESL in 1998, Krister has been active in many departments, ranging from teaching to sales and marketing. Krister’s prior experience as a language teacher and teacher trainer at the Alliance Française, as well as his extensive travel experience, lay at the heart of his current activities.


  • Roxane Ganewski

    Head of International Admissions Centre

    Roxane Ganewski Roxane is responsible for the International Admissions Centre, based in Montreux, Milan and Barcelona. From the latter, she oversees the organisation of study abroad trips, student care and welfare and ensures the high quality of ESL’s products. 

    After studying in different European universities,  she worked in various roles in the tourism and language education industry in the UK and Switzerland and then joined ESL in 2013. Bitten by the travel bug at an early age, she spent the last 10 years studying and working abroad.


  • Olivier Grollimund

    Head of Sales

    Olivier Grollimund After working for 10 years in the financial sector in Switzerland, Olivier decided to explore the world by travelling in New Zealand and South-East Asia. That journey changed his professional perspectives and led him to graduate at the Swiss School of Tourism in Sierre.

    He joined ESL Education in 2005 to develop the Italian market for individual travelers. He supervises the development and performance of ESL’s sales offices throughout the world, including revenues, quality of service and sales strategies implementation, in coordination with Products and Marketing departments.


  • Catherine Eggel

    Head of Human Resources

    Catherine Eggel In her role as HR Manager, Catherine welcomes, guides, helps and supports ESL staff before, during and after their time with the company, encouraging each individual to give his/her touch to our goals and projects. Before working at ESL, Catherine studied Economics and obtain a bachelor’s degree.

    After spending 5 months learning English in Australia, she joined ESL in 2009. Alongside her job at ESL, she has obtained a federal diploma as a specialist in human resources.


  • Paul Lovejoy

    Chief Information Officer

    Paul Lovejoy Paul is Chief Information Officer at ESL Education Group, responsible for information systems and technology across the organization. After 22 years as an independent software developer, Paul joined our team in 2010.

    Prior to his career as an independent consultant, Paul worked for 7 years with Philip Morris in Lausanne, where responsibilities included the management of a software development team for finance, sales and marketing as well as activities in accounting, internal controls and financial analysis.

    Paul graduated from The University of California at Santa Barbara in 1980, with a degree in business economics.   


  • Alex Minguella

    Chief Financial Officer

    Alex Minguella Chief Financial Officer, Alex Minguella, joined ESL in April of 2018. He is responsible for managing the finance department and works out of both the Montreux and Barcelona headquarters. He supervises all financial activities including accounting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting and taxes as well as hard-safeguarding the company’s financial interests.

    Earlier in his career, Alex worked for a French multinational corporation in several positions in corporate finance such as Regional CFO in various locations worldwide. He started his career in auditing and advisory services at one of the largest auditing firms in the world.
