  • ESL Language Schools purchases two new schools

The Swiss group specialised in the teaching of foreign languages has acquired two new German language schools in Berlin and Freiburg.

Since its creation in 1996 in Montreux (Switzerland), ESL Language Schools has become a European reference in the teaching of foreign languages over the years. The group owns two French schools for adults in Montreux and Lyon and operates eight holiday camps for juniors in Germany, France and Switzerland, which offer French, German, Italian and English courses.

Today, ESL Language Schools is proud to count two new schools in Berlin and Freiburg as part of its group. In Berlin, the Prolog school (which primarily teaches German, but also offers courses in 15 other languages) is one of the two largest language schools in the capital and a nationally recognized institution. As for the IH Freiburg School, it is one of the oldest in Germany. Both of them are members of the IH association.

With the purchase of these two German schools, ESL Language Schools wishes to develop its extensive expertise in the teaching of German as a foreign language and to continue a process started four years ago with the opening of the first junior camps in the language of Goethe. “We aim at maintaining the same level of excellence in the teaching of German as the one we have reached in the teaching of French in our schools in Lyon and Montreux”, explains Alain Vadi, the co-founder of the group, which was nominated as one of the best French language schools in the world on several occasions.

As regards students and commercial partners, the purchase will not cause any changes at first. The changes will be introduced gradually.
